Modulus is one of my student projects designed in 2003 and exhibited in Salone Satellite - METU ID stand at Milan Design Fair 2004. This design is formed in consideration of the huge variability of needs at public place, As users and use scenarios are numerous, Modulus provides different use opportunities by a semi-mobile structure. The seating surface of Modulus is rotatable and slidable to left and right sides, thanks to a unique mechanism designed by me. The combination of these two movements within a defined space provides numerous use opportunities. This idea took considerable attention and also appeared in media when it was exhibited in 2004. After some years, similar public furniture concepts appeared, some of which can be found in the internet shown as shown among the successful designs for public space.
